An Early Look at the Market User Interface

The AESO is pleased to provide market participants with an early look at materials for the Market User Interface (MUI) in the Market Management System (MMS) ahead of the Soft Launch in Q1 2027. These three reference materials are available on InfoHub and provide a preview of the MUI, including key screens, features and technical requirements for common market operations:

  • MUI User Guide
  • MUI API Specification
  • AESO_MUI_API.json file

Releasing these materials now gives market participants time to become familiar with the new interface and begin preparing for the Soft Launch. Additional information about access, testing and timing will be shared as implementation progresses.

IT Systems Working Group

A monthly, virtual forum that gives market participants early, practical insight into upcoming REM IT changes so they can plan and prepare. Each session will focus on a specific topic or topics, including planned interface and API updates, expected technical impacts, and include time for questions and discussion. The regular cadence supports ongoing readiness as capabilities are released in phases.

This forum will help participants understand which systems and interfaces will be affected when, what connectivity or access changes may be required, and how to plan, sequence, and resource their internal work ahead of each sandbox release.

Sessions will be open, transparent, and aligned with general delivery timelines. A summary of each will be shared afterwards, however they will not be recorded and posted.

Audience: The group is intended for those responsible for implementing and integrating REM-related IT system changes, with consistent core participation and additional subject matter experts joining as needed.
