IT Systems Working Group

A monthly, virtual forum that gives market participants early, practical insight into upcoming REM IT changes so they can plan and prepare. Each session will focus on a specific topic or topics, including planned interface and API updates, expected technical impacts, and include time for questions and discussion. The regular cadence supports ongoing readiness as capabilities are released in phases.

This forum will help participants understand which systems and interfaces will be affected when, what connectivity or access changes may be required, and how to plan, sequence, and resource their internal work ahead of each sandbox release.

Sessions will be open, transparent, and aligned with general delivery timelines. A summary of each will be shared afterwards, however they will not be recorded and posted.

Audience: The group is intended for those responsible for implementing and integrating REM-related IT system changes, with consistent core participation and additional subject matter experts joining as needed.

InfoHub training materials, user guides, FAQs and knowledge articles will be organized in a searchable Resources section.

    Assistance and support

InfoHub will provide integrated Help functionality and notifications to keep you informed when new information becomes available.

We'll continue to share additional information and resources as we get closer to launch.

Get Ready for InfoHub | A Single Access Point to AESO Services & Reports

In September, the AESO will launch InfoHub, a modern platform that will become the primary location for accessing AESO data, knowledge resources and market participant services.

InfoHub is being introduced as part of our ongoing efforts to improve how we share information and support market participants. Once launched, it will bring key AESO services and reports together in a single, secure location, reducing the need to access information through multiple channels.

The first InfoHub release will include:

    • Access to existing public reports and APIs (currently available on aeso.ca)
    • An operations coordination file upload feature
    • Searchable resources including user guides and FAQs
    • A "What's New" section to highlight updates
    • Integrated Help functionality for submitting support requests
    • Notifications when new information becomes available on the platform

This is the first step in a phased rollout. Future releases will continue to expand InfoHub with additional services and capabilities.

Over the coming weeks, we'll provide demonstrations, training materials and information to help you prepare.

We look forward to welcoming you to InfoHub!
