Scorecard Evaluation & Interest to Present | Jan. 28 - Feb. 17, 2026

Purpose

The objective of the Rate Design Workshop 1, taking place April 7 – 9, 2026, is to bring together the AESO, FTI Consulting, and stakeholders to share perspectives on and begin to evaluate potential rate design options. To support this work, the AESO intends to share its proposed longlist of rate design options by March 10, 2026.

We are asking stakeholders for two types of input by February 17, 2026. Further guidance on submissions is included in the Scorecard Development slide deck.

  1. Feedback on the updated scorecard
  2. A non-binding indication of whether your organization plans to submit a rate design option
    • Stakeholders may submit up to two comprehensive rate design option(s)
    • All submissions must meet the necessary conditions set out in the Scorecard Development slide deck and include an initial scorecard assessment
    • Once the AESO has shared its longlist of options, interested organizations will have the opportunity to reconfirm their interest or opt out of presenting
    • Opportunity for submissions will open in March

Stakeholder Questions

Part 1: Scorecard Evaluation

This scorecard will be used by all stakeholders (including the AESO) to qualitatively evaluate all rate design option proposals in advance of the April 2026 workshop, as well as during the workshop. The rubric will be used as a screen to get from the longlist to a shortlisted set of options for more extensive exploration and assessment. As a reminder, the scorecard was first developed last year with stakeholder input. The proposed scorecard reflects both stakeholder and FTI input.

Please provide any final comments and feedback on the updated scorecard.

  1. Are there any refinements you would recommend to the proposed scorecard for it to effectively assess the longlist of rate design options? Please explain.

Part 2: Interest to Present

Please complete the following if you expect your organization will propose a rate design option for consideration. This submission in indicative only of interest and is not binding.

  1. Main presenter’s contact information
  2. Do you anticipate bringing additional subject matter experts? Please provide their contact details here.
