March 4, 2026
We will be hosting a full-day hybrid stakeholder session on Tuesday, March 24 for Market Participants to learn more about the AESO’s high-level plan guiding the work and preparations required for the successful implementation of the REM.
This session is intended for those responsible for leading and coordinating their organization’s REM implementation readiness across operations, technology/systems compliance and change management. Ideal participants will include the project manager and/or technical lead overseeing implementation planning activities.
Due to space constraints, only one representative per organization may register to attend in-person. Others can join virtually and will have opportunities to participate and ask questions.
Session Objectives:
By the end of this session, Market Participants will:
- Understand the high-level plan and key milestones required for REM implementation including system updates.
- Gain visibility into the major changes to systems and impact of those changes.
- Understand the AESO’s approach and supports for enabling the transition to the new market.
- Understand the expectations of Market Participants to support their own readiness activities.
- Understand the AESO’s overall engagement plan for the ISO Manuals and Information Documents related to the REM ISO rules, and further review of the REM ISO rules.
