Purpose

The AESO invites all interested stakeholders to provide their questions to ensure we have determined the appropriate areas of focus, priorities, and pace in the 2026 Preliminary Budget and Forecast. We will also determine if all crucial issues have been included in our priorities to support the future of electricity in the province and any associated impacts on capital or consulting dollars.

The AESO values stakeholder input and thanks all interested stakeholders that provided their clarifying questions on the 2026 Budget Development Process. The questions received from stakeholders via this tool by October 20, 2025, will be answered at the stakeholder Q&A session on October 29, 2025. You will also have an opportunity to ask any new questions on October 29, 2025. Please note that we will make every effort to respond to questions however, there may be instances where are unable to comment due to confidentiality considerations.

Materials

The purpose of sharing the presentation well in advance of the Q&A session is to provide stakeholders with more time to consume information and develop their questions. Stakeholders can take advantage of this additional time to more meaningfully participate in the Q&A session scheduled for October 29, 2025.
