Extension to April 17, 2023
We added the Energy Storage Tariff Module Scope of Work questions below and extended the deadline for feedback to April 17, 2023, to allow stakeholders the opportunity to include the Energy Storage Tariff Module Scope of Work feedback along with the Proposed 2023 Tariff Work Plan feedback in a single submission. The AESO values stakeholder input and invites all interested stakeholders to provide their comments via the following Stakeholder Feedback form on or before April 17, 2023. Please be as specific as possible with your responses. Thank you for your input.
I. Proposed 2023 Tariff Work Plan
The proposed 2023 Tariff Work Plan represents the AESO’s recommendation for the prioritization and timing of tariff-related initiatives in 2023 and beyond. THE AESO is seeking written feedback from stakeholders on their perspectives as it relates to the proposed work plan and the prioritization and timing of the initiatives.
II. Energy Storage Tariff Module Scope of Work
The AESO has developed a proposed Energy Storage Tariff Module Scope of Work which represents the AESO’s recommendation and proposed process for advancing a tariff treatment for energy storage. The AESO is seeking written feedback from stakeholders on the proposed engagement process and high-level scope of work.

- Are these the right priorities from an overall Industry perspective?
- Were any tariff-related priorities, initiatives, or projects missed?
- Is the sequencing of priorities (i.e., the Gantt chart) appropriate?
Energy Storage Tariff Module Scope of Work
- Are the objectives of the engagement appropriate and clearly defined?
- Are the proposed steps, timelines, and stakeholder involvement appropriate? If not, what changes would you propose?
- How can the proposed process be made more efficient and/or more transparent?
- How should the process address differences of opinion if/when agreement cannot be reached?
- Are the initial questions and scope of work the AESO has described appropriate? If not how should they be modified?
